AXA Seguros Mexico Acceso Cliente

Acopio Unión Hidalgo

Realizamos un acopio de casas de campaña, cobijas y víveres para apoyar a la comunidad de Unión Hidalgo, Oaxaca, afectada por el sismo.

One of the largest challenges Mexico and its 125 million inhabitants face today is access to quality healthcare.

The numbers are quite worrisome. In international organizations rankings like the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Organization for Economic Development (OECD), Mexico appears leading the way in worrying indicators: out-of-pocket expenditure and obesity rates. While it lags behind in terms of nurses per capita, and private health insurance penetration.

Next week, the Mexican Insurance Association (AMIS, its Spanish   acronym) will hold its annual convention and the main topic will be the   impact of health expenditure in the economy. AXA Mexico is among the   largest health insurers in the country with 1.1 million customers and a   26% growth in revenue in the first quarter of 2018. We at AXA are   committed to improve Mexicans’ lives through providing access to quality   healthcare. Both by contributing to make the health system more   transparent, and by creating products catered for what Mexicans need the most.

One of the largest challenges Mexico and its 125 million inhabitants face today is access to quality healthcare.

For instance, AXA recently launched an innovative product for people living with type II diabetes. Today 7 million Mexicans have been diagnosed with type II diabetes—more than in any other OECD country. Diabetes has been an uninsurable risk. However, we are pushing the envelope with a product centered in what matters the most: prevention, relevant advice and integral care for our customers.

There is still a long way to go to make Mexicans’ lives healthier and the treatment of illnesses more effective. However, we at AXA are committed to continue working towards these goals.
